Some people treat it as a sign of affection when they slap your back or punch your arm and do not mean any harm but if you're not at all comfortable with any kind of touch you have to speak up and firmly tell them. In anime, since it's about magic and more firmness than in reality, you could say that that is Sakura's way of disciplining Naruto in a moderate way.
Y'know when your parents had to hit you because you did something wrong but do not go overboard. In real life, that's lesser painful if a friend does that to you, and for you. It's like when you feel a bit pain but you're still ok and it's harmless. But in anime, they exagerated it for comedy, and the punch she does to Naruto is supposed to be a low pain and no one would want to feel pain no matter how big or small it is so that's how he gets disciplined. And it's not just for discipline, but a sign of care and closeness of friendship. Although I don't know how can I explain further that it's also about care and friendship if you didn't understand what I said.😅

And like I said, in anime they exagerated her way of punching for comedy. Let's say this: in my point of view, when I see Sakura punch Naruto but then Naruto's still fine, I find it "wait wtf how is he ok?" And it's mind-blowing that he's ok and everyone treats it like not that much of a big deal. (Back to Sakura's topic -->) It's Sakura's way of knocking some sense to him, or in the part when she was saying she just wanted to be with Sasuke and suddenly feels awkward and embarrassed then punched Naruto, well, she was surprised-- it was a reaction, but since they both understand each other mutually, it shows that they r close friends. Friendship comes in different forms. Just like Naruto and Sasuke before Sasuke was hungry of powers, Naruto and Sasuke were also fighting, but deep down they care for each other. I could say the same for Sakura and Naruto's friendship, Sakura hits Naruto and Naruto often makes fun of Sakura and jokes around to make Sakura worried for him (y'know when you think it was serious, then you were worried, and just to find out that he's making fun of you, y'know what it feels?) or tease her, but deep down they also care for each other. But there are also ppl who are not used to it or feels bullied abt it when they get a hit from a friend who mean no harm, so it's in your opinion.
